We are seeking a Child & Family Specialist
We are seeking a Child & Family Specialist for our Palmdale facility to work in Wraparound, a strength-based program that works with families to develop a plan and assist those families to carry out the plan.
What You’ll Do:
Provides services to clients and their families as defined in the Plan of Care (POC) or Client Coordinated Care Plan (CCCP).
Participates in inter and intra-disciplinary teams, advocating for the needs of the family.
Completes tasks, under the direction of the program manager, from the POC or CCCP and reports progress regularly. Tasks include but not limited to: advocacy, anger management training, social skills training, visits in the home or community, development of community resources, resource and referral, school observation, and other tasks as assigned.
Records and distributes POC minutes.
Maintains regular contact with inter and intra agency staff and displays an ability to communicate well with a variety of socio-economic and professional levels.
Develops resources and maintains working relationships with other community agencies and participates in inter- and intra -agency meetings as appropriate.
Maintains accurate and timely records of contacts for all services provided in either a DMH or Wraparound approved manner.
Regularly transports clients as part of assigned tasks.
Must work flexibly in a team environment filling in as needed and complete other tasks as assigned.
Hours: Full-time (40 hours). Hours vary – Must have the ability to work non-traditional schedule with a 24/7 on call requirement.

Qualifications
Bilingual in English / Spanish preferred.
Experience working with emotionally disturbed children, adolescents and families.
Ability to be respectful of all cultures and religious beliefs and work within a family system.
Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with all levels of staff, clients, and colleagues.
Must be able to prioritize and use time effectively.
Must continuously have a clean clear driving record.
BA in human services or social service filed.
Will need to complete mandatory Wraparound training.
